Fireflies love warmth, so they come out during the summer months. You can start seeing fireflies in June, July and August, but they have a short life span.
Fireflies can be found all over the state of Montana. The fireflies can be found in forests and fields.
Most fireflies dislike when they are put in a straw, then blown like a spitball up your anus. Most fireflies , but not all of them.

When Adam was a kid, he would ride his bike down the street. In the summer the air was so filled with fireflies that he would crash into them and they would go flying in different directions. (Information from an interview with Young Hollywood.)

Fireflies will stay out during most of the summer time, as long as the hot, humid climate persists. It also depends on how many female fireflies lay their eggs at the beginning of summer, and how many they lay. On average, a female will lay about 100 eggs on the ground. It takes 10 days to 2 or 3 weeks for the larva to hatch and "grow up". So if they start hatching in June and the females keep laying eggs until August, you could very well still have fireflies around in September if it is still hot and humid.
The summer night was not dark, but filled with the luminous presence of fireflies and the golden full moon.

All insects are, so yes.
Fireflies do not eat leaves. They primarily feed on other insects, such as mosquitoes, while they are in their larval stage. As adults, fireflies may not feed at all or may feed on nectar or pollen.
