The majority of plastic cups can be reused or recycled. Polystyrene, or foam, cups are not widely recyclable. Cost wise, plastic cups tend to more inexpensive than polystyrene cups.

Assuming they are the same or similar shape and volume, water in glass would freeze first, then plastic then foam. Foam allows transfer of heat out of water more slowly than plastic and the glass probably has the highest rate of heat radiation of the three.
Probably plastic cups, but it would depend on the comparative smoothness of the containers. the dissolved gas in soda needs a nucleation site to form a gas bubble, this can be a dirt particle or in this case the walls of the container.
Foam? Like old coffee cups and such? They never biodegrade. Unlike plastic that will take a thousand years foam will never biodegrade. In ten millions years of something is digging in the ground, it could find your cup that you left behind.
