Yes. The older models are more easily adaptible due to their reudced weight, length, and turning diameter. The newer models require a great deal more work to acquire the same level performance. The stock suspension will need to be replaced with a significant lifting kit, high thresh hold load springs, and possibly after market control arm, or similar stabilizing shock or brace. The skirt, steps, and; or quarter panels may need to be changed to accomodate larger tires to prevent sticking. Also, hitch and tow gear or at least a wench is a good idea.
