Best Answer

While French fries taste delicious to millions of Americans and millions of others across the world, they are in no way good for you. Yes, they are technically a vegetable, but any nutritional value quickly disappears when you deep fry them and add all the sodium. French fries in moderation, however, won't do you much harm. Happy eating!

Ask your parents. They will say no. Then read them this: Of course! French Fries are made from the potato which is a vegetable. And ketchup is made from the tomato also a vegetable.

Another view:

Although potatoes and tomatoes are indeed vegetables, french fries with ketchup are not healthy for you because they have added ingredients like fat and salt.

Yes, especialy when cooked in industrial fats. What is bad for your health is eating too much of them, say more than one portion a week. A balanced diet should include very few fried things.

Answer

They are not good to your health at all. French fries contain 350 calories in one medium sized box, 450 calories in a large box, and 250 calories in one small sized box. Fries also contain a lot of grease, carbohydrates, and sodium, which can lead to weight gain, higher blood pressure, and obesity if consumed too much.
