Frogs are a sub-group of amphibians. lizards are a sub-group of reptiles.
Toads (all toads) are amphibians and lizards (all lizards) are reptiles, so they are completely different animal groups.
No. Toads and frogs are both amphibians.
A lizard
The horned toad or lizard is really a lizard. It does have a backbone even though it can lie very flat.
A horned lizard (toad) is called a hatchling when it is born.
Toad is the odd-one out. All the rest are reptiles - a toad is an amphibian.
The horned toad is actually a lizard. It is called the horned toad because its body shape resembles that of a toad.

The Horned lizard , or horned toad , is found in Texas , New Mexico , Arizona and Mexico .
This entirely depends on the species of horned toad. There are 15 species. The Texas horned lizard is 94mm (males) and 114mm (females).
my poor gouldi died.with a bite not even swallowed
It depends on what kind of lizard. If it was a helia monster than your dog would already be dead. If it was a common anole or fence lizard then no. If in doubt as to type of lizard try to save it so you can take it with you dog to the vet to show them. The most dangerous creature out their right now for a dog to chew on is a cane toad or bufo. They are deadly to dogs, and look just like the common toad, but are MUCH bigger in size.
