It very much depends on what they are being raised for and by whom.
Laying hens on a small farm are usually active and do not need to be fat until just before they are culled to make room for the new layers in the spring. Birds raised for meat are fed a fattening diet of corn and can get quite heavy, enough so they have trouble walking.
As a matter of fact pigs are not fat. Some can be really skinny. It depends on where the pigs live or how much it eat at some point. SO STOP CALLING PEOPLE NAMES LIKE THEY'RE FAT LIKE A PIG!!

Guinea pigs that are fed a rich diet can get very fat, but this is pretty unusual. Guinea pigs are, by nature, grazing animals, which means they will eat regularly throughout the day, usually without over-eating.If you have a very fat female guinea pig, that has had contact with a male, chances are high that she's pregnant.
This is hard to do early on in the pregnancy. It gets easier as the time goes by because the belly will grow very big. If your pet is just fat and not pregnant you can tell if you can see the babies move.
