Cold-blooded creatures as traditionally defined can not internally regulate body temperature and rely on external factors.
Great White Sharks fall into neither classical definition they are capable of internally regulating their body temperature due to the structure of their veins, arteries, and muscles but their body temperature is not constant.
When they conserving energy their body temperature can drop to match that of the shrouding water temperature.
They are thus classified as endothermic poikilotherm, because its body temperature is not constant but is internally regulated.

∙ 11y agoMost sharks are "cold-blooded". Great White sharks are not "warm-blooded" as mammals are but are homeothermic in that they maintain a higher body temperature than the surrounding water.
