There not different! Dreamworks have confirmed that the charatcer is Blackout and the toy of Grindor caused some confusion.

In the movie, Optimus kills Grindor but he is killed by Megatron. After he is brought back to life using the matrix he powerlinks with Jetfire and kills the Fallen, Badly wounded Megatron flees along with Starscream
