Yes they are because you can sit with them and there easier to take care of but make sure u get one at a good pet store such as petsmart NOT PETCO!
i think a guinea pig's hearing is better than a hamster's because i tried to sneak up to my guinea pig but when i saw my guinea pig it was staring straight at me like it knew i was there already. i once owned a hamster and they did not notice me very often as much as guinea pigs. ;D
One way to differentiate between a hamster and a guinea pig is by size. Guinea pigs are typically larger than hamsters. Additionally, guinea pigs have rounded bodies with shorter legs compared to the more slender bodies and longer legs of hamsters. Hamsters also have shorter ears and tails than guinea pigs.
No guineau pigs are much larger than hamsters, and have different habits. For example, hamsters are nocturnel and guineau pigs are not. No, they are different.
actually, guinea pigs ears are a lot better than human ears, so don't expose them to noises to loud. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- also black guinea pigs have far better hearing than guinea pigs of another color (7 guinea pigs) and most guinea pig dont like high pitch or fast tempo noise...
Probably Gerbils, because they are indoor animals, and guinea pigs are fragile
Guinea pigs are smarter than hamsters in responding to us.They even respond when hearing our footsteps or when opening fridges. But,hamsters are more intelligent in doing tricks than Guinea pigs.
NO! please do not attempt to put them together. The guinea pig will more than likely try to kill/eat the hamster.
Guinea pigs are so so so so so much better than rats.
its better you get a dog than two guinea pigs cause a dog can protect your house
It depends on if you want to cuddle with your pet or not. You see, guinea pigs are much bigger than hamsters, and they don't do as much as them too, so they like to cuddle up with their favorite person. On the other hand, hamsters are more entertaining than guinea pigs, cause guinea pigs can't roll around in a wheel or ball and can't crawl through tunnels. It really depends on whether you are a cuddler or a person who likes to watch something really cute. Also, just a warning, guinea pigs need a lot more attention and care, and they also do MUCH better with a buddy to share a cage with. hamsters just belong to themselves.
To buy initially, yes. Long term depends on if you buy your hamster fun exciting cages and toys. They can get pretty expensive. Guinea pigs don't need fancy stuff.
A hamster is much more faster than guinea pigs. They are nocturnal, that means they are active at night. Guinea pigs are a little more "laid back and relaxed". But it really depends on what breed. Like, abbysinian guinea pigs are faster than your average American shorthair. Did you know, that hamsters can run in their little wheels up to 8miles at night! Hope this helped!
