The energy required to boil a substance
heat of fusion
The sun can supply light and heat to the leaf.
The heat of fusion is the amount of heat (not temperature) required to change a solid to a liquid. It is also known as the melting point. The heat of vaporization is the amount of heat (not temperature) required to change a liquid to it's gaseous state. It is also know as it's boiling point.
Heat, noise or a lack of power.
AIr supply registers can be located in the floors, walls, or ceilings. The placement chosen will depend on whether the system will be used primarily for heating or cooling. If you live in an area where you use mostly heating, floor registers are the best, as heat will rise and mix with the indoor air. If you live in a warm area, like me, you want the registers high on the walls or on the roof, as the cold supply air will fall towards the floor. Basically you want high registers for cooling and low registers for heating.
There are many websites online that offer information regarding heat registers. Wikipedia gives detailed information about heat registers and about what they are and when they were created.
Condominiums are individually owned. If the building supplies the heat, and the association owns the building, then the association may be required to supply heat according to the City of Chicago's seasonal guidelines. If, however, the heat for the unit is an individual service, then it's your responsibility to heat the unit, either for yourself or for your tenant.
With heat pumps supply air temp will vary with outdoor temp. The colder it gets outside the less efficient the heat pump will be (colder supply air).
Closed dampers or registers, not sure what you mean by vent. Chimney? Return air grille?
Control the fuel supply or oxygen supply to the fire.
RMS value is defined as "The amount of ac supply required to make same heat effect in resistor , which is made by dc current, in that resistor"
by food oxidation
Yes and Very Possible! Bad connections cause heat so the outlet may be defectice. The outlet or the supply line may also not be rated to supply the current (amperage) required by the heater.
light and heat
A measure of the heat required to raise the temperature of a substance
The energy required to melt a substance. (Apex)
