YES. THEY ARE WATERPROOF. from personal experience, water does get inside the motor and battery slot but they do not stop working. All you have to do is take out the battery and wipe it down and it will be fine.

NO! Hexbug are not WATERPROOF, because if hexbug was WATERPROOF it would not have any battery power electronically for example a, watch you get it wet the battery will stop working.
