In recent years, many excellent books have been published detailing scientific findings and conclusions that I believe compellingly demonstrate the impossibility of evolution as an explanation for the intelligent life on earth. Futhermore, evolution cannot offer an explanation for the origin of our magnificent universe as evolution only seeks to explain how it 'might' have begun in an universe that already existed. With the flood of new discoveries in the universe, microbiology, and many other of the sciences, evolution is at a loss to fully explain these.

The Scripture on the other hand is quite straight forward. In Genesis 1:27 it says, "So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him, male and female He created them." So we humans reflect the God beings, in effect "we are the offspring of God" (Acts 17:29).

In short, being created in God's image is what makes us human and of a different "kind" than animals. While the 'theory' of evolution describes early man as only being capable of crude grunts, the first chapter of the book of Genesis show Adam and Eve immediately after their creation being able to name the animals, communicate in complete sentences and reason for themselves whether to obey God's instructions to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Our ultimate purpose is that we were created to be of the "God kind." Although God has made us physical beings for now, His ultimate desire is that all men and women accept His authority over their lives and eventually become part of His eternal family as literal children (John 1:12; 2 Corinthians 6:18).

It is an individual's choice :)

The choice is faith or science:

  • Some believe that humans were created just as we are now, usually just a few thousand years ago. The recent creation described in The Bible is, for some Christians, increasingly untenable as we learn more about civilisations that existed tens of thousands of years ago, so they adjust the biblical timescale in various ways to fit their view of reality.
  • Evolution is not a matter of faith or unsupported belief. In fact, one of the earliest pioneers of evolutionary theory, Charles Darwin, was derided by sailors on the 'Beagle' for his religiosity, yet the same voyage began his awareness of the evolution of species. There is now overwhelming evidence that we did indeed evolve from earlier species, and for scientists this is the only honest and objective explantion for our existence.

There is, in fact, a third option increasingly supported by the major denominations, although not by scientists - that God created us through the process of evolution.
