Siberian Huskies were used for centuries by the Chukchi Tribe, off the eastern Siberian peninsula to pull sleds, herd reindeer and as a watch dog. They were perfect working dogs for the harsh Siberian conditions: hardy, able to integrate into small packs, and quite happy to work for hours on end. The dogs have great stamina and are light weight. Native to Siberia, the Husky was brought to Alaska by fur traders in Malamute for arctic races because of their great speed.

it depends what needs pulling but huskies pull sledges in the Arctic. Elephants help in India and Africa.

They can live in just about any cold environment.
Huskies were used for pulling sleds. They are born to run and enjoy working.
No one lives in antarctica permanently. All you get there are a couple of research stations.
In some kind of shelter like a snow den, a cave, or in a forest of evergreens.
Because huskies pulles the sledges that they used to get around in. And they were also used for hunting down animals for their owners.
Interesting fact; Huskies, before used fir sledding, were used to herd reindeer back in Siberia.
