They are pretty nice cars actually. I enjoyed the few I have driven, While I would never waste the money to buy one because they are a bad investment and do nothing for the environment, doesn't mean they are junk.
They do get better mileage (about 10%) then a similar counterpart and they do have a certain snob appeal. I hate to admit it, but they are sort of fun to drive.
