It hurts way more! Industrial piercing is not as straightforward as traditional piercing, it is considerably more painful; The piercing, can take between three months to one year to fully heal.
You need to keeep it clean with salt water.

It can take up to 12 weeks for an Industrial piercing to close up. Possibly even longer, as long as you clean the area with salen solution it will heal up just fine, DO NOT turn, the piercing it will do that by daily wear. And DO NOT take the piercing out, the skin will grow back together very quickly and cause the punctures to close, meaning you just paid for a piercing, that is no good anymore.
Your piercing should not get infected if you take the earring out but you should rinse it in alcohol before putting it back in to avoid infection.
1 year after having it done, you can take the jewellery out for an 8 hour period without fear of the piercing closing up.
2 months but it takes 6 months up to a year to completely heal
Rinse and clean the piercing twice daily with special clearer for piercings and clean the piercing at least once a day with a salt water mixture. This won't guarantee that your industrial won't get infected, but it will definitely help.
A small hole will be visible. The longer you have had the piercing, the longer it will take to close. If you want the hole to close, do NOT try putting anything through it to see if it is shrinking. This will only prolong the closing process.
take out the piercing immediately and clean it with orange anti-bacterial soad 3 times a day. do not touch it unless your hands are washed.
Well the piercing needs to heal, this can take up to a year for a piercing to become seasoned (this is when you can remove the jewellery for a few hours and not have an issue putting it back in). Average heal time can vary from piercing to piercing from 4~6 weeks for some and other a lot longer. Light heals are not considered "healed" and can be damaged by removing the jewellery too soon.
The two wounds are still "raw," so you have to continue cleaning & caring the area until it heals.
