Any splice or termination to a device has to be done in a junction box. Wire splices are the critical and most likely point in a circuit where a fault can occur. The purpose of the junction box is to suppress the fault to to the confines of the box. This usually is enough protection to cause any fires that may be started from the electrical fault from spreading to other surrounding combustible surfaces.
A junction box needs to be weatherproof if it is located outside. These junction boxes always need to be weatherproof since they are constantly exposed to rain and the elements.
Crawling is a glaze defect in which the glaze separates, leaving portions of bare clay exposed.
The apical surface does not have any cell junctions because it is a free surface exposed to things that are not epithelial cells. The lateral surfaces of an epithelial cell, which face the adjacent cells on either side contain tight junctions, adherens junctions, desmosomes and/or gap junctions. The basal surface of an epithelial cell adhere to extracellular materials like the basement membrane. Hemidesmosomes anchor the epithelium to the basement membrane in the basal surface.
Normally, nothing happens when silver is exposed to oxygen, but if you breath silver dust, you could become seriously ill.
They can be used if need be. But, know that all junction boxes must be covered and they must be accessible at all times. That can be placed above a drop ceiling with panels that can be removed but not above a permanent sheet rock or wood ceiling.

If the basement is "finished" then yes. If it's a typical basement with exposed joists, no.

It's colder in the basement than the water coming in the pipes. Seal up the vents and drafts in the basement. Wrap the pipes
It is best to store metal partial dentures in water overnight. Normally even the metal partials have some portions that are made of pink acrylic, and these portions may become distorted if they are dried over a prolonged time or exposed to extreme heat.

That would be very unusual, because normally, two houses would be owned by two different families who would not want to share a basement. But if you were designing a complex of buildings to be used by one owner, then you might want to have two buildings that are connected underground (making it possible to travel from one house to the other without having to be exposed to the weather).

Conduit comes in many styles and is used to run electrical wiring in exposed locations in and around your home. It may be a basement, garage, barn, laundry areas, and also exposed areas.
