I have always had Kenmore washers and dryers and they have been very reliable. Maytag seems to have more recalls on their products in general.

∙ 13y agoThe Kenmore brand includes some excellent washing machines. However, Kenmore does not manufacture its own machines. They rebadge other companies' products.

Screws set in at angle will hold better than nails. If this is a permenant application, you can use liquid nails, but it really isn't necessary.
