No. Koalas are native only to eastern mainland Australia. They do not occur naturally outside of that area because they have very specific food and nutrition needs. Koalas select from just 14 species of eucalyotus as their primary food source, specifically, the subgenus Symphyomyrtus.
Koalas are limited to eucalyptus bushland in the Australian states of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and far eastern South Australia.


The only koalas found outside of Australia are those in zoos.
