∙ 11y agoWell it depends what you want to train it. If you want to train it to sit it should not take that long. but if you are going to train it to do a backflip for some odd reason it would take time. it also depends HOW you train it too. :)

∙ 12y agoIt depends on the dog. Dogs are as much individuals as people- asking if a golden retriever is hard to train is like asking if math is hard for people. It varies a lot.
I've had dogs that were supposed to be easy to train, but never learned anything- and I've had stray dogs that no one thought would go anywhere that ended up being very intelligent. There's no easy answer.

∙ 14y agoYes, they are very easy to train. I have a yellow lab and within 2 weeks of when I got her she learned sit, stay, down, paw and fetch.

∙ 14y agoit depends, if you have the right books and are training the dog correctly it should be easy. i would start out with the basics, "sit" "down" and so forth. =) hope my advice helped!
