I have 4 males and 1 female and even though the female has some nice cuddly moments, she can be very grumpy and sometimes even aggressive too. This is most likely because she hasn't had her first litter yet and all her hormones are upside down, but if you get a female rabbit to not breed, she'll probably always be a bit grunty. On the other hand, all the males have not been aggressive (as long as you handle them, care for them etc - give them no reason to be aggressive). They've made lovely and cuddly little friends!
I would advise a male rabbit pet. I'd only tell you to get a female if you were planning on breeding her.

∙ 15y agoit is better to have a male bunny as they are nicer natured but keep in mind if you are planning to get more than 1 either 2 females or a male and a female are your best option
(don't forget rabbit breed very quickly so get the male neutered if you're going for this option.) 2 males will fight once reaching sexual maturity.
I have to female mini-lops and they get only just fine, they groom each other all the time and you wont see the apart.

∙ 14y agoI have had many rabbits over the years of various breeds. Personality varies by the individual rabbit. Neutering or spaying your rabbit can make them a calmer, more even tempered pet. Otherwise it doesn't matter frequent gentle handling is what makes for a happy, tame and gentle pet

∙ 14y agoIt doesn't matter on the gender of the rabbit, it matters on it's personality within itself. Try to pick one that doesn't bite much, and seems healthy.
