Have you tried Numrich Gun Parts? I was able to get some parts for mine from them. Also, they are suggested by Marlin if you call them looking for parts. They have a website, just search Numrich. I can't think of the address right now. Hope that helps.
Marlin still manufactures the model 60 so you should be able to get parts directly from their service department. Here is a link to the model 60 on their web site. At the bottom of the linked page you can download a free user manual for your rifle. http://www.marlinfirearms.com/Firearms/SelfLoading/60.asp
Yes. The Marlin model 556 is a bolt action shotgun. It has a detachable magazine which holds two rounds and one round in the pipe for a total of three rounds. It is able to shoot 3 inch ammunition.
I found the value of a Marlin/Glenfield (similar serial) to be at about $2,700. I'm looking too, but that's the price I was able to find.
If you can identify the model number and serial number, then we will be able to date your marlin and help with the value if you include the overall condition of your rifle.
