Have you tried Numrich Gun Parts? I was able to get some parts for mine from them. Also, they are suggested by Marlin if you call them looking for parts. They have a website, just search Numrich. I can't think of the address right now. Hope that helps.
Marlin still manufactures the model 60 so you should be able to get parts directly from their service department. Here is a link to the model 60 on their web site. At the bottom of the linked page you can download a free user manual for your rifle. http://www.marlinfirearms.com/Firearms/SelfLoading/60.asp
Yes. The Marlin model 556 is a bolt action shotgun. It has a detachable magazine which holds two rounds and one round in the pipe for a total of three rounds. It is able to shoot 3 inch ammunition.
The Marlin Model 55, a bolt-action shotgun, was manufactured from 1960 to 1983. The specific date of manufacture for an individual Model 55 can typically be determined by its serial number, which can be cross-referenced with Marlin's production records. If you have a specific serial number, you may be able to find more precise information regarding its production date.
I found the value of a Marlin/Glenfield (similar serial) to be at about $2,700. I'm looking too, but that's the price I was able to find.
