Yes, it's possible but very difficult.
On a GSM network when a call is initiated, information contained in the sim card is relayed to the tower, but in addition, so is the phones IMEI number. (ESN Number for CDMA based networks)
The SIM card and IMEI number are tracked together by the towers, so a record does exist.
yes they are but disposable ones are not. it is the sim card that is traced.
EVERY mobile phone that's switched on - can be traced to the nearest three network masts - this will trace your handset to an area roughly 3 metres by 3 metres square. Using 'triangulation' - and hand-held detectors, your handset can be traced to your exact location !
No - the mobile number has no physical area allocated to it - as, say 021 would indicate a Birmingham number. Mobile companies can, however, trace any active handset to within a 10 metre area - as each handset is in constant communication with at least 3 mobile phone masts ! The network needs to know exactly where each handset is - in order to transmit calls & texts to the right person !
Sites such as Trace a Mobile, Mobile Locate and Follow Us can help to search for a mobile phone number and trace the owner information. They usually charge a small fee for this service.
The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number is specific to the handset. The mobile number is associated with the SIM card. If you swap a different SIM card into the mobile phone, it will have a different mobile number but the same IMEI number. The mobile company will have a record of the IMEI of the handset that used a particular mobile number for a particular call, and your mobile provider has a record of the IMEI of any phone you purchased from them, but you cannot in general trace the IMEI by the mobile number.
yes
You, personally have no legal right to track a person's location by their phone. Law enforcement agencies have the authority to trace anyone's location they suspect of criminality (or being reported missing). The method - is by the mobile phone company sending a 'talk' signal to the handset. The network then receives the 'reply' from the handset on the nearest three repeaters - and the network pinpoints the location to within 3 metres. EVERY handset can be tracked this way - whether the user wants to be tracked or not !
firstly, format that mobile phone and restore all the software in your cellphone
Not by their number - as it doesn't relate to a specific place. Cell-phone companies CAN trace any mobile to the nearest phone mast to where they are - the network provider NEEDS to know where the phone is, in order to keep it connected to their system !
yes
It is impossible
Less than a minute ! While a pre-paid phone can't be traced to an individual person, the location of the handset can be pin-pointed to an area roughly 3 metres square. The network always knows where the handset is - in order to route calls to & from it !
You can use the free mobile number tracking website CallTracer.org to trace any mobile number and get complete SIM card details on google maps.
