All castles that exist today are made from stone because stone lasts for a long time. In total there were three types of castles: Stone Keep castles (Stone castles), Motte and Bailey castles and Concentric castles. The Stone Keep castles were made out of stone along with the Concentric Castles and still stand to this day as great monuments. The Motte and Bailey castles, however were made out of wood and have all rotted away to leave none left standing today.

Mesopotamia no longer exists. of course the stunning legends and stories will carried down for centuries to come. the houses were made from sun dried bricks. they would use clay or mud , leave it out in the sun for a long time and by the end of the day they would have tons of bricks.
It was terrible. Depending what castle your talking about, though, in the Norman Castles, the Castle was made out of wood, thanks to this, the enemy could easily burn it, or, the wood rotted and it would smell very horrible. They made wood instead of bricks because there was alot of wood, and it was much faster to make the castle be made of wood rather then bricks. Although they did fix this some day by making the castle out of cement and bricks. But, the Castle had actually had some rooms to go to. It had a Church where people could pray to their Lord. They also had a kitchen, where they made the food, they had a hall, and a very big table to eat what people made in the kitchen. Just to let you know when you are about to ask another question about a castle.
Yes Castles have changed through time to midevil castles to modern day castle in the U.S or Britain. But People call modern castles mansions.
Meopotamian houses were made out of clay bricks. They would get the clay in the morning and mix it with water. Then they would put it in molds and leave it out in the sun to dry. By the end of the day they would have plenty of bricks.
There are billions of bricks in the world. Just in one day, the LEGO factory in Denmark produces millions of bricks.
