Of course this is a matter of opinion, but members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) do try to be good people. They try to pattern their lives after Jesus Christ and serve and love others, so most would probably agree that most Mormons are good people.
Battle of Mormans happened on 1814-02-17.
Mormans have the same thoughts of blacks in high positions as they would any other race of people. The"curse of Ham" went away in the '70s.

Mormans ARE Christians! We believe in Christ, not Budda, not Alla, not a monk, but Jesus Christ our Savior.
Mormons are getting better about this, but historically the Mormon church has maintained that black people are the descendants of Ham, a biblical figure, and that they have been cursed with black skin for the sins of Ham, their ancestor. So they alleged that all black people were cursed, basically.
The Mormon pioneers were seeking religious freedom. They had been persecuted and kicked out of their homes in other states.
