I wouldn't say that, necessarily. I guess some people might name their rabbit Peter Cottontail after the bunny in the story, but there are plenty of other common rabbit names out there. Bun-bun, for example, is my bunny's name. Other common ones include Snowball, Daisy, Fluffy, Brownie, and Thumper.
You can get bunnies from most pet stores, and from friends litters of bunnies if they have some.
