I would say most of them are from school because you go to school for a long time and you get to know a lot of people more people than at home.

But like you're not obliged too, you can still be really good friends but not hang out outside of school. The main purpose of hanging out is to have fun and get to know your friends better. Definitely, hanging out outside of school is good, but you don't have too.
