Nope! I got my lovvie (owners sometimes call them lovvies) for 50$ from a pet store. Some might advise a good breeder with hand-fed lovvies as my lovebird was crazy, terrified and loved to bite. A good lovebird that's handreared tends to be a little more expensive and sometimes they don't ship the birds but I think it might be worth it.
