Indubitably.
Yes
It all depends what your first one is and the quality of it. If your first Airsoft Gun is a AEG, then you should probably but a decent gas pistol for backup. If you decided to become a sniper and you bought a sniper rifle as your first gun then you should look into small battery powered AEGs such as MP5Ks or MP5s. But overall, a good gas pistol would be an overall upgrade to anyones arsenal.
Any rifle with a version two or version three gearbox. That includes the AR-15 series of guns (M4s, M16s, and anything of the like) or MP5s. These gearbox versions are the easiest to fix and upgrade.

Yes, an M14 Airsoft Sniper is good. My cousin has almost all of the airsoft guns their are and he loves the M14. I would recommend it.
no. you get what you pay for. a good airsoft gun should be 150 or higher
This may come down to a matter of opinion, but CYMA has recently in the past few years come out with some extremely reliable mid-quality guns. JG has some good ones, for instence I hear their g36 is pretty good, but from personal experience CYMA's AKs, MP5s, and M14s are all very good guns. I would consider CYMA the better brand due to the sturdiness and reliability of their products.
there is a great selection of airsoft guns at HobbyTron.com for good prices
