No! They are just as kind and gentle as regular people - in fact they ARE regular people. There is certainly no specific DS characteristic for 'harmful' behaviour.
The question itself is a bit silly. Can ANY child be harmful? Of course they can, especially when they are brought up by parents who are 'harmful' or disfunctional.
However, I would suggest that parents who a caring and stable enough to raise a disabled child are rarely 'harmful' people, so DS chaildren are rarely harmful, but tend to be loving and caring. That is my experience.
They aren't as smart as normal people, and MAY have trouble recognising context. So things that may be acceptable in one place (hugging Mum & Dad for example) may be inappropriately applied in another (hugging people they meet).
It depends on which type of mutation it is. Deletion is usually harmful.
Down syndrome often causes physical issues that are harmful. It is not unusual for those with the down gene to have life threatening cardiac conditions.
no, it is a chromosomal disorder.
Four types of chromosomal mutations are Down syndrome (which is a mutation in which there are three copies of chromosome 21), Kinefelter Syndrome (which is a mutation in which a male has an extra X-chromosome), Turner Syndrome (which is a mutation in which a female is missing an X-chromosome), and Patau Syndrome (which is a mutation in which there are three copies of chromosome 13).
is William syndrome caused by a mutation
it is just like having down syndrome but in the physical way.
a mutation is sometimes a form of adaptation, but if something changes in the DNA of the species and could possibly be harmful to it, that is a harmful mutation.Examples:-born without a part of the brain-cancer is a form of a harmful mutation-hypoglycemia
No, albinism is a genetic mutation, not a generation-type of mutation, that also means a non-albino couple can have the chance of giving birth to an albino baby, it's a really random and rare mutation.
The phrase is spelled Down Syndrome. Down Syndrome is a disorder caused by a mutation of the chromosomes.
Chromosomal mutation can have lasting impacts on the person who this happens to. A version of a chromosomal mutation is the mutation that leads to Down's Syndrome.
Down's Syndrome is caused mainly by a mutation in the gene. It is a genetic disorder, which means it was passed on from parents to offspring.
yes, down syndrome is caused by non disjunction, an error in the process of cell division
A very small number.
is William syndrome caused by a mutation
Down's Syndrome Kleinfelter's Syndrome
Down syndrome is caused by an additional chromosome while PKU is due to a mutation or defect in a gene.
No. Down is caused by an extra chromosome while Marfan is due to a mutation in one or more genes.
Down Syndrome is a the addition of an extra chromosome and not really related to evolution. It is more of a genetic mutation that causes this event to occur.
