Onions are great at removing excess oil on your skin by rubbing half an onion on your skin.

I think what happened is you had a little onion on your fingers and touched your face causing some of the oil to partially disolve.

Does nerve damage cause oily skin on face?

Nerve damage can potentially impact skin conditions, but it is not a direct cause of oily skin. Oily skin is primarily influenced by factors such as genetics, hormonal changes, and the activity of sebaceous glands. If nerve damage affects the function of these glands, it might indirectly influence oil production, but this is not a common or well-documented outcome. For specific skin concerns, it's best to consult a dermatologist.

What foods make your skin less oily?

Unfortunately, the excess oil on the face cannot be eliminated, because it is innate. However, you can minimise it with a good diet. For example, avoid eating fried foods and increase the vegetable and fruit consumption. If your oily skin persists, talk to your dermatologist about drugs called retinoids. These will reduce the production in oil glands and shrink them. Remember that you can only go so far to clear your oily skin, as some studies indicate that oily skin runs in the family and is genetic.

Oily skin to get rid of acne?

What I do is when I'm in the shower, I be sure to rinse my face really well. I also use OXY cleaning pads. You can actually feel them cleaning your pores! Finally, watch what you eat. Fatty or oily foods can cause some oily skin, I've heard.

Does oily food cause acne?

Not necessarily. There could be many different foods or items that could give you oily skin. I have struggled with oily skin for a few years now and haven't seen any improvement by eating differently... try to avoid oily foods or foods that are unhealthy for you partly to see if it helps your skin or also because it could just overall help you feel better! Oily skin could also be caused by a lack of moisture in the skin, causing the skin-glands to overproduce oil and make your skin more oily. I have found that the Clinique 3-Step Skin Type three (for oily skin) has done WONDERS for my oily skin! I have also worn make-up with oil-control, but if you do this, remove it correctly at night. Just because you use a "facial cleaner/cleanser" does NOT mean it is getting deep enough to remove make-up, and this can cause acne. Use an actual make-up remover. (Again, I use Clinique, and it's great! I can feel the make-up being gone as a I clean!). Don't use just any lotion for oily skin. Make sure that the lotion does not include extra oil (oil-free) and also, gels are great for oily skin. Regular lotions can actually cause more oil but gels are great! Hopefully this helps!
