Yes, playing on a private server is mostly free. Some servers offer donor-specific items, but you can still get the blizzlike experience for free.
I recommend Eternal-WoW, it is one of, if not the best private server out there.
Private servers in WoW are servers that are not connected to the official servers in any way. They basically are hacked copies of the WoW servers. Do not support them. - I support the private servers, first of all they are free, second of all they are different than the actual game and have different rules, monsters, and areas, third of all they all aren't copies. I support the private servers. - 1. Yes, they are free. But you do not have the quality GM's that the official servers have. GM's on private servers are not bound by any rules. they do what they want when they want. 2. you might have different models or what not, but if they are not the same as the official servers, then you are not playing the game. 3. If you are not connected with the official servers, they ARE copies.
This is not possible, as access to the Blizzard servers only is possible with a valid subscription. This needs to be a paid and active subscription connected to a battle.net account. Without this, you cannot play World of Warcraft on official servers.
There are no good free realms. To get good servers, you use the official servers that come with the game and are operated, maintained, and overseen by blizzard employees. Free servers (aka private servers) are against the Terms of Use that you sign whenever you install or upgrade WoW.
Realmlist.wtf is a file which is used to show you the official WoW servers.Yoi change this file to gain access to private servers. It is highly not recommended that you change this file as private servers are ILLEGAL.
No. If you want to play your own account for free, try private servers.
it's already out, google it
Private servers are illegal, i would suggest staying away from them.
If you are using the free trial account, you do not need to be connecting to private servers. Private servers are usually buggier than the live official servers, have terrible gm support/customer support, and take money away from Blizzard.
Private servers are Illegal, i would not advice playing and/or making one.

In the strictest legal terms, WoW servers are not legal, since they require a (basically) hijacked version of the official server software to run, which is not the property of the people running the servers.
