Entertaining your Mind with Optical Illusions?

Optical illusions are pictures that use color, patterns, and light to trick the eyes and brain. When viewing an optical illusion, what the eyes see is interpreted by the brain, but the brain's interpretation does not match the true image. In fact, the brain sees something that is not really there. Optical illusions are fun to look at, but they also help scientists to learn how the brain works. Many optical illusions were created just to study how the brain processes visual information. There are three basic types of optical illusions: literal, physiological, and cognitive. Literal optical illusions form images that are unlike the objects that create them. The best way to understand a literal illusion is to look at one. An example of a literal illusion is the painting Bakery by Octavio Ocampo. In this painting, a woman sits in front of shelves full of bread in a bakery. However, the way the bread is arranged appears to form skulls. Another famous example of a literal optical illusion is the painting All Is Vanityby Charles Allan Gilbert in which a woman sitting at a vanity table looks like a skull when viewed from further away. Physiological illusions happen when excessive stimuli such as brightness, color, movement, or tilt, for example, cause the eyes or brain to see something that is not there. These illusions can also occur when stimuli compete. The Hermann grid illusion is a famous example of a physiological optical illusion. The Hermann grid is a white grid on a black background. When looking at it there appear to be gray dots at the intersections of the white lines, although in reality there are no gray dots. This is due to a physiological phenomenon called lateral inhibition which is when light and dark photoreceptors compete with each other and one part wants to become active and the other does not. This causes a perceptual illusion of gray dots on the grid. Cognitive illusions occur when the eye and brain make unintentional inferences. There are four types of cognitive illusions: ambiguous, distorting, paradox, and fictional. Ambiguous illusions offer two interpretations of a picture or object, but both can't be seen at the same time. A famous example of an ambiguous illusion is the Rubin vase, which either looks like a white vase or two face silhouettes facing each other. Distortions in length, size, and curves appear to be present in distorting illusions. A famous example of this type of illusion is the arrow illusion, otherwise known as the Mueller-Lyer illusion. In this illusion there are two lines that are the same size but one has the ends pointing in and one has ends pointing out; most people say that the line with the ends pointing in is longer. Paradox illusions are objects that are impossible in real life but look real in drawings, such as the Penrose stairs, which seem to go on forever without getting any higher. This illusion is due to the faulty belief that adjacent edges have to meet. The Penrose triangle is another example of a paradox illusion. Fictional illusions are only seen by a single person; they are actually hallucinations. They can be induced by alcohol or drugs, or by health conditions such as schizophrenia. Examples of fictional illusions are seeing double of one object or seeing something move when it really doesn't. Literal, physiological, and cognitive illusions all deceive the eyes and brain. People have been fascinated by optical illusions throughout history, and continue to be fascinated by them today. Paintings, books, and drawings of optical illusions have become famous because they are fun to look at; however, they also help scientists to discover how the brain works. Fun and science often go hand in hand. What you see is not always the same as the visual information that enters your eyes This fact is can be demonstrated most dramatically by?

visual illusion

Why do people see optical illusions differently?

Yes because they can't be in the same place therefore they will have a different perspective.

What is a cognitive illusion?

A cognitive illusion is a phenomenon where our perception or thinking leads us to misinterpret reality or make errors in judgment. These illusions occur due to the brain's cognitive processes and can affect our reasoning, memory, or sensory perception. Examples of cognitive illusions include the Stroop effect and confirmation bias.

What is zolly?

Zolly is another name for dolly zoom, a camera effect which causes an illusion to regular visual perception, where the subject of a piece of camerawork remains the same while the background is zoomed into and out of.

Are illusions and magic the same thing?

Illusions and magic are the same thing. "Magic" is how we witches spell out stage-magic. It's used to cheat people, and it's not actual magick. It's tricks and, as you said, illusions.Illusions and magicK are NOT the same thing. Illusions are magic - stage-magic, tricks and so on and so forth. Magick is related to the Earth, and to changing things that are already moving in a certain direction. There's really nothing supernatural about it. Well, not as much as most people think, anyway.Another thoughtMany of us who have practiced Magic for years do not use the "k" in Magic. We simply differentiate the illusion or stage magic from the practice of Magic by capitalizing.

What is The existing system of things the universe of matter time energy and space?

Many things are not explainable by conventional scientific logic. No one knows what an electron is and what the magnetic field is actually and how they are as they are. Innumerous animals and plants live on tough earth for millions of years. This is an impossible and complex life environment for the size and hospitality of earth for all these to live naturally. For example, human body is very complex with innumerous mechanisms running it with full cooperation. This complexity would not evolve as understood by the materialistic evolution theories. Even if evolved so, would not remain longer than a little while in the Earth's environment. An atomic particle penetrates infinite barrier wall when it is not able to jump over it, which is in-explainable logically. There are weapons like Brahmastra, which destroy things with un-understandable through materialistic science driving source in the weapon. A curse can work. So, many things that we know are not interpretable in our minds through materialistic logic. Even the things that we think as understood well are not actually interpretable logically if analyzed at the basic level. So, all the things are happening miraculously or in a manner un-interpretable through materialistic logic. Any illogical thing is possible if it is not actually happening but only an illusion to mind as if it is happening. Only illusive universe can have any thing happening. For example; a man can have wings, light may travel in a zigzag manner through space, things may be repelled by the gravitational force and any law of nature is possible to exist in dream (imagination) with out need for logic. The objects and rules are applicable in illusions also in the same way. That means, every thing we sense or perceive is an illusion with out need for rules and so we are able to actually experience them. We perceive which do not exist. If a thing is not an illusion, it can not exist because it can not exist logically. Any rules seen in this illusion are just the rules in illusion, not the really existing rules. It is a rule in illusion that there will be gravitational force of attraction between any two objects. Actually objects do not exist really and the gravitational force too. The rules in the illusion are just to let the illusion happen constructively. When you talk to your friend (illusion), you act to him as you will (think/decide). So, 'you' are 'a willing object undergoing illusion'. When you will to walk, you walk (illusion). When you will to talk, you talk (illusion). That means illusion is built in to you in such a way that your will and illusion do not conflict. You get illusion with out creating it. That means, there are at least 2 objects in this universe (you and the illusion creating system). So, there may be any number of illusion centered objects like you in this universe. If there are many illusion receivers like you, yet you can not recognize the things pertaining to you as illusion easily though every thing you receive is an illusion, because it is a synchronized illusion. When you (real) do illusion talk to your illusion-friend (not real friend object), you get an illusion reply from your illusion-friend. At the same time, your real friend object feels the illusion talk from illusion-you (not real you, your illusion) and he gives an illusion reply to illusion-you. But, your friend-illusion acts exactly as your real friend is replying; and your illusion acts exactly as you are doing. Then, you feel that your real friend is interacting with you really because you are able to get response from him unambiguously when you talk. The same will be the perception by your friend object that came as illusion-friend to you. That means, you are experiencing an illusion such that your illusion does not conflict with the illusions around you and so it is difficult for you to identify that there are many synchronized illusions around you. So, the source of all the illusions is one system as all the illusions are synchronized as one. When you talk to your friend, illusion you are getting is behaving as per your will. But, illusion you are getting is same as the real response your friend-real is giving and the illusion your friend-real is receiving is the same as the illusion you are receiving in a synchronized illusion. But, illusion your friend is receiving behaves as per his will. So, in a synchronized illusion, your will and your friend's will must not be free and must behave according to the synchronized illusion both of you are receiving if the wills should not conflict. So, will is not free to you and it is made to behave according to the synchronized illusion. So, 'Will's of different objects like 'you' are bonded to the synchronized illusion so that the 'will's behave as per the synchronized illusion; which looks like the synchronized illusion is behaving as per the 'will'. So, if 'will's are being done as per the illusion, they should be being done by the same system which is doing illusion. So, there is only one thing that makes the illusion and makes wills. Let us call that only thing doing every thing as PARABRAHMA. So, there exists only illusion and the objects of will undergoing the illusion; all being done by PARABRAHMA. Let us call the 'wills undergoing illusion' as ATMAs and the synchronized illusion as MAYA. So, ATMAs and MAYA are bonded and are done by (bonded to) PARABRAHMA.
