Many divers looking for pearls have come across giant oysters, and searched them for pearls.
Unfortunately, the Giant Oyster doesn't produce pearls like a regular oyster.
Many a diver has also had a shock when the jaws have started to close on them whilst they were exploring the oyster's mouth.
After a while though, they realised that they were in not danger, as a giant oyster closes it's jaws so slowly that you can have a bath in it's mouth whilst it was closing and still have ample space to move about, and plenty more time to escape.
