Best Answer

Any coastal region where there are freshwater or salt water oysters may or may not contain pearls. The relativity of geographies versus pearl cultivation is not cut and dry since pearls are semi precious stones and will be found in oysters which have lived long enough to produce them. Pearls may or may not be in any oysters for that reason and you shouldn't rely solely on geographical regions for pearl cultivation. You would do better to purchase pearls from a market where there is a pearl farmer with an oyster hatchery otherwise you could be wasting a ton of time in opening oysters just to find pearls. Unless you have an excess amount of time and money to spend looking for pearls it would be cheaper to just find a farmer with an oyster hatchery since they tend to sell the pearls and at a cheaper price typically.
