Many people are afraid of 'truth'. All religions stress to speak truth. If speaking truth had been against human nature or harmful to human being, Almighty God should not have emphasized so much on speaking truth, or being straightforward and just in our dealings in daily life. Actually, I want an expert answer by some scholar. During my life span, I have found many religious scholars telling lies or hiding truth on one or the other pretext. Our beloved Prophet (SAW) says that a Muslim may commit certain sins, but he is not a liar. Almighty God have warned us against telling lies. Even then, the Muslims tell lies in very petty matters without shame.
