∙ 8y agoPeople are both producers and consumers. A producer is the person who sells the product or makes the product. A consumer is the person who buys the product and uses it. So we are both. There are mostly consumers in the world. [It depends if you mean this in the biological sense or the economic sense.
Biologically we are consumers; we cannot grow food from ourselves; we scavenge/hunt or do whatever we need to do to find food to CONSUME.
In the economic sense, we are both. We can PRODUCE goods and services to sell in the market as well as CONSUME those very same goods and services. This is the basic tenet of capitalism.]
