Not just unfortunate, but also unforgivable. Those that hate Aspergers Syndrome in specific will find themselves being hated by people with it. Even if the person with it won't admit to hating them, they will hate them on the inside.

The ways of which how people with aspergers are treated can be varied but the common thing would be bullying. People with Aspergers don't generally get bullied because of people knowing they have Aspergers but by the way the act. For example, someone with aspergers may won't understand jokes, taking things literally or behave in a unusual way and they are bullied as a result of it. It's not only with Aspergers Syndrome but also with Autism and other things similar to it
If your talking about mentally by psychotherapists then yes but only because people with AS will may find things hard to understand and therefore be treated in a different way but in a positive and helpful matter.
