Well depending on what you mean by "large" you could say yes to both because they are large in size, but they are not the largest and they are very widely known and owned. But now in some states it is illegal to actually own a pitt bull unless you have the right type of license. The government has made it a law that if you own a pitt bull dog and you are inside of city limits you can be ticketed and even sued.
