Man is hunting these animals. While their numbers are climbing over the past 100 years, they are now being allowed to be hunted again, which is why they were endangered at one time. Hopefully, man has learned from previous mistakes and will not over hunt these animals again.

The short answer is yes, they are in danger from man.
