Quarter horses are one of the more docile breeds. Much more calmer than say an Arabian or thoroughbred. I've found them easier to train/break and they are more trusting. So no they aren't exactly hard to ride just depends on what they're trained to do and their temperament.
yes
No HorseIsle does not allow you to breed any horses. You can only ride and train them. They do, however, have the Quarter Horse breed in both HI1 and HI2.
I would recommend the American Quarter Horse. Though there is many gentle horses, the Quarter Horse loves people and company.
gaited horses have a certain way they move their feet (the gait) that usually makes the ride extremely smooth and its a lot faster than the quarter horses gait, they also have a lot of endurance and can go long distances at faster speeds than a QH
because people think it is to hard but horses are fun to ride and they love to win money
Answer. Well it is hard to say if you live in N.California then you can ride but it gets very hot. if you live in Wyoming then you can ride all the time. Horses do what ever there owners are wanting to do with them.

Young children can ride most breeds of horses, providing they are quiet and react with minimal fuss to unexpected situations. Generally, high strung breeds of horses are not recommended for young children, but again, it depends on the personality of the individual horse.
A horse that can Piaffe is the slowest. A piaffe is a trot in place. That would be the Quarter Horse. I ride/show Quarter Horses and Saddlebreds. People think ponies are the slowest, but really they're probably the fastest. Poneies can throw you off in a minute. Hope this helps!!
Quarter horses are named that because they can run a Quarter of a mile really fast. They had races in the old days for a quarter of a mile and they would use Quarter horses for them. Now Quarter Horses aren't as popular for racing, because Thoroughbreds have better stamina.
Quarter horses get their name from the quarter mile races. A quarter horse is energetic enough to gallop a whole quarter of a mile.
Quarter horses originated as an American breed
