They have fangs and Posion glands that would scare a cobraJ/k.lol But really they can be if they have rabies, but that goes for all animals with rabies even a little mouse can give you rabies if its saliva enters your blood stream. Squirrels can be a handfull if you are trying to hold a wild one. They have very shrap claws and teeth not to mention they are fast and angile so grabbing one without gloves would be foolhardy and just plain flat out stupid
