yes, there are reports that a adult man was found inside a python.
It depends on the species. Female reticulated pythons can get over 20 ft long, although that's not common. Female ball pythons get about 6 ft.
Pythons got into Florida because people had kept pythons as exotic pets, but as they grew bigger, people realized that they didn't want their pythons anymore because they got too big to live in their house, so the people in Florida who had pythons released them into the wild. Because there were numerous people who had pythons as exotic pets, and then released them in the Everglades into the wild, there were eventually enough pythons that they could successfully reproduce and live in the Florida Everglades.
It depends upon the species. Most python species are smallish, and are not dangerous. Large species such as the Australian scrub python, olive python, Burmese python and reticulated python are all known to have attacked people and are known to inflict horrible injuries and even death! It depends what specie of Python you're talking about. The smaller Pythons - such as the Royal python (Python regius) can give a nasty bite - but are not capable of harming people(due to their size). However - larger species - such as the African Rock Python (Python sebae sebae) are certainly large enough to swallow a small child.
Yes. Reticulated Pythons and Green Anacondas can crush the life out of full grown men and swallow them whole.
pythons can grow to be about 30 feet long.
pythons can grow to be about 30 feet long.
Adult crocodiles prey on retic pythons.
Normally 15-17 ft although the record captive reticulated python is 25 ft. It also depends on what you get, there are dwarfs and super dwarfs. Dwarfs normally are 12-13 ft but very commonly get as big as normals. Super dwarfs normally are 6-8 ft long although can get larger if bred with a normal or dwarf.
Reticulated pythons are huge, thick snakes. They have a pattern of black and brown that I can't easily explain, and a yellow face. Check out the photos in the related links. Reticulated pythons should never be described as "thick," they are incredibly thin, active snakes. If a reticulated python is not thin it's likely overweight or obese. Their pattern can be described as "netted/webbed," which is where their name "reticulated" comes from. They also often have orange, silver, and greenish colors, and can be quite ornate. Each locality has slightly different appearances. I think it's also worth noting, not all reticulated pythons are huge! There are island localities that max out at only 6' in length, and being such incredibly thin snakes they won't appear as big as they really are, and someone might guess a 6' retic to be maybe 4' if it wasn't stretched out to show its length.
Everybody knows that keeping a snake like a cobra is a pain in the butt but there are snakes that are are not poisonous that are bad pets too. Ball pythons that are not captive bred are full of parasites, flying snakes need a big enclosure, African rock snakes are painful too, and boa constrictors and reticulated pythons are very not good pets to keep.
33foot Reticulated python. There are claims of larger pythons than this but they are not verified.
