i need to have a tooth added on to my partial plate
In my experience, I have had three root canal fillings. None were successful. I was warned about this from friends who have had this procedure done. Some have suggested that a 'crown' would help. That has not been my finding. Again, that is IMO and my experiences. Were I you, I would have the tooth removed and consider an implant. Yes, they're costly, but succeed IMO far better than a root canal. It was also my finding that a root canal made my tooth very susceptible to breakage, damage, etc., in that root canal fillings are a delicate and less than a desirable way to "keep" your tooth. It's your call --- and be sure to address your dentist with your concerns about the "success" of root canal fillings. IF he or she is honest (and not just looking for more money to charge you) --- then you may well consider an implant. A root canal may well cost as much as an implant --- which is far superior. its a bad tooth dats dead
usually. The braces will not effect the root canal therapy, which should be completed ASAP. Temporary fillings are just that - temporary. They can break down and begin to leak after a certain amount of time. The tooth likely will need a crown after the root canal is completed, in which case the braces may impede the process. At the very least, request a permanent material/filling is placed at the time of root canal completion.
Not necessarily. It depends on the extent and depth of the decay or fracture. If the decay has reached the nerve of the tooth, a root canal is indicated. If the decay has not reached the nerve, a root canal is not generally required.
If a tooth has a root canal filling you will not be able to know because the main factors of a tooth that has gone bad is sensitive to hot and cold or tender when putting any pressure on the tooth but if it has a root canal it is slightly different because the nerve is removed so you cant feel it. The tooth if it has a root canal will always go dark as the tooth is dead but this does not mean it is bad. The main sign of a bad tooth that has had root canal is an abscess under the tooth so if you feel pain when lying down that is keeping you awake at night or when leaning forward it really hurts then you have an abscess and that tooth will most probably have to be re-root canalled by a specialist or extracted! :)
hi my name is Sabrina, i in of a bad root canal. It hurt so bad to the point i can sleep or eat even cry myself to sleep! i have a medicaid and over 20!! help
Yes! In fact, half of the time, its the root canal which clears away the infection as your dentist would usually file away the "bad" part of the tooth anyway.
i am 12 years old i just had my root canal today. It didn't hurt bad they just nummed the area around the tooth it was fine. For a child the biggest factor is fear.
Assuming I read your question correctly, If all your molars (teeth responsible for grinding and mashing) appear to have dark yellow or brown spots, a dentist would take bite wings (dental x-rays) and determine If fillings would be appropriate. If a tooth shows signs of advanced decay or damage to the root(s), a root canal may be necessary. It's better, cheaper, and less time consuming to have fillings done versus having a root canal.
The Panama Canal is in Panama, about 1600 miles from the southernmost border of the United States.A root canal is a dental procedure, not a canal.
