Supposedly, but so are four leaf clovers and rabbits feet. All superstition if you ask me. We were in the Virgin Islands for my sisters Wedding when I found one. I was about to release it but my mom and girlfriend said they were good luck. I had never heard this before. I didn't want to kill it but I gave it to my mom and she took it home with her.
good luck!
NO.I would not say a certain season, but there is a certain tide that is good for finding sand dollars. the best tide to look for them is low tide
Sand dollars do not mate. They spawn, i.e they shed their sperm/eggs in the water in groups. The spawning happens between August-November.
Yes ofcourse you can have them in your saltwater aquarium. You have to provide some space in your tank with good sand and feeding sand dollars is easy, for they mostly eat suspended organic matters and other fish wastes.
In the sand
Sand! Good luck!

You can not cheat to get sand dollars. You have to work for it, or you have to buy it.
Around 3 to 4 dollars. Good Luck!
I've heard it costs 500 sand in direct sales, but it might cost anywhere from 5000 sand or up in the auctions. Good luck!
