Not really. Autosomal refers to the fact that a characteristic is controlled at a single genetic locus. Sex linked refers to a gene locus on the sex chromosomes

For example. Hemophilia is a sex linked characteristic because the genetic locus for the disease is located on the X sex chromosome. It is also autosomal recessive.
