I can't speak for anyone elses dog, but my shiba Adores babies. He is the most aloof dog with adults and adult dogs, but with babies and puppies he is such a lover.
It amazed me one day when a man was carrying a baby and my Shiba jumped up on him. He would never jump up on anyone. I havent seen him jump before or since. He was curious about the baby.
Little kids come and pet him and smack his eyesballs and put their hands in his mouth and he just sits there patiently. It's actually really amazing. I think he might have been born in a house with a baby.

∙ 15y agoThey do if you like hyper,active,playful,and friendly dogs. Shiba inu's also run very fast so you can get them trained if it works out.You also can out up a fence or something so they don't run away.

Shiba inu are very loyal dogs and mostly stick with they're owner. If you want a Shiba inu to be friendly you shuld try to get it friendly with other dogs and humans when it's a puppy.

I have a shiba and i love her to death. She is a great dog but i guess it depends about the way you train them. They can run EXTREMELY fast. If you get one and it ever gets away, good luck getting it back, cause it will run on and on and wont stop.
