I'm not sure , but carnivorous beetles and a swarm of fireflies could make a snail a prey. Also reptiles and songbirds and storks also herons and all the other birds would'nt leave a snail alive. Snails do not eat living things, they decompose dead matter. I suppose if it was a chopped off, dead root the snail would decompose it. But it won't eat it as long as it's still alive.
