∙ 14y agoWhen separating the electrical guitars in the 'Gibson' camp and the 'Fender' camp, you could say yes. The neck of a Fender guitar is, usually, less wide than a Gibson neck. However, there are many guitar brands and there are several who make mostly guitars with what would be considered a 'wide' neck.
By the way: There are more differences: Gibson guitars have a flat fingerboard while Fender don't. Necks can also vary in the kind of wood that's used, the size of the frets, the amount of frets, the way it is mounted on the guitar, the 'action', the angle between the fingerboard and the headstock, the kind of headstock, the shape of the back of the neck, the thickness of the neck, whether it is scalloped or not and the tuning mechanics.
