No. With the exception of Mercury all metals are solids at room temrperature and have negligible vapor pressures.

Mercury does have a measurable small vapor pressure at room temperature, enough to be a hazard.

Are some metalloids gases at room temerature?

No. All metalloids are solid at room temperature.

What are properties of semimetal?

Semi-metals have some properties of metals and some from nonmetals. Semi-metals are solid at room temperature. They are also brittle, hard, and somewhat reactive.

A metal that is solid at room temperature?

Most metals are solid at room temperature (20-30C)as room temperature is not enough to provide them required kinetic energy to overcome their forces of attraction or convert its state.thus, they remain solid at room temperature.

Can non metals be shaped by hitting them with a hammer?

Some allotropes of sulfur and phosphorus can. One form of sulfur is pasty just above room temperature, and at least one form of phosphorus is waxy at room temperature. However hammering phosphorus is risky as it ignites easily.

What are the characteristic properties of metals?

Metals are generally very good conductors of heat and electricity, hard, shiny, malleable, ductile, and solid at room temperature. Some are magnetic.

What is the state of semi metals at room temperature?

At room temperature all metalloids are solid.

Why non-metals gaseous at room temperature?

The atoms of non-metals are covalently bonded in a molecule. These molecules are joint by weak intermolecular forces of attraction which are easily overcame. Hence the boiling point is low and usually below room temperature so at room temperature, they are gaseous.

What non-metallic element is solid at room temp?

Some non-metals like carbon, sulphur, phosphorus, selenium iodine are solids at room temperature. carbon is also a solid at room temperature and even though Non-metals are not able to conduct electricity or heat very well. As opposed to metals carbon in the form of powdered graphite allowed its use as a semiconductor

Is it true that some metalloids are gases at room temperature?

No. All metalloids are solid at room temperature.

Do metals turn to liquid at room temperature?

no, but some do

Is gaseous at room temperature metal or nonmetal?

nonmetal it is a gas

What is the physical state of gas at room temperature?

depends on what type of gas some of them are gases until cool them but most of them are gases at room temp

What state are molecular compounds at room temperature?

Ionic compounds are solids at room temperature whereas molecular substances as a group are variable in their states of matter - some are solids, but many are liquids or gases.
